Jaldia Abubakra, member of the Executive Committee of the Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, affirmed that the assassination of the leader Izz el-Din Haddad, the commander in chief of the Izz el-Din al-Qassam Brigades, comes within the framework of the open war being waged by the Zionist entity, with direct U.S. and Western imperialist support, against the Palestinian resistance forces and the peoples of the region. She called for escalating the global popular movement and boycott and isolation campaigns against the Zionist entity.

Abubakra said that this crime is aimed first and foremost at exerting further political and military pressure on the resistance in order to force it to abandon its weapons and its national and political conditions.

She added that the policy of assassinations has historically failed to break the will of the Palestinian people or eliminate the resistance project; rather, it has always constituted an additional factor in escalating confrontation and strengthening popular support around the choice of liberation and return.

She explained that the targeting of leaders and their families in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran and throughout the region reflects the criminal nature of the enemy, while at the same time revealing the depth of the crisis facing the occupation after years of confrontation and its failure to impose surrender on the peoples of the region despite the massacres, siege and ongoing destruction.

Abubakra stressed that the weapon of resistance is a legitimate right of a people engaged in a national liberation struggle against occupation and settler-colonialism, affirming that all attempts to disarm the resistance or turn its weapons into a mere bargaining chip will only lead to further escalation and instability in the region.

She also called upon all organizations of the Masar Badil, as well as liberation and solidarity forces around the world, to return once again to the streets and public squares in rejection of the ongoing war of genocide in the Gaza Strip, and to escalate boycott campaigns and political and media pressure in order to isolate the Zionist entity and hold accountable its supporters and partners in the crimes committed against the Palestinian people.

She called upon the masses of the Palestinian people and the free people of the Arab nation and the world to intensify the state of popular, political and media support for the resistance, and to reject all projects of normalization, liquidation and surrender targeting the Palestinian cause and the historical rights of the Palestinian people.
