Press Statement

O proud masses of our people:

The repressive measures imposed by the imperialist circles in Washington against Lebanese political and military figures are nothing but a new link in the chain of global domination and control, aimed at subjugating the popular masses and breaking the will of forces that refuse subordination to the capitalist center. The U.S. administration, as the spearhead of the modern colonial system, seeks through these measures to protect the Zionist settler-colonial project in the region after failing to impose realities on the ground through direct military force.

The real pretext behind this campaign is nothing other than punishing everyone who refuses to transform the homeland into a field subordinate to market policies imposed by force, and everyone who holds firmly to the right of peoples to self-determination and to confronting the exploitative structures administered from abroad. This confrontation does not concern specific individuals or organizations alone; rather, it expresses the consciousness of broad sectors of workers and popular classes who reject the dictates of political and economic dependency.

These sanctions, no matter how greatly amplified by the media, reveal the limits of American influence and its inability to strip popular legitimacy from the forces engaged in defending national sovereignty. They are nothing more than a desperate symbolic attempt to reproduce an imbalanced balance of power that serves the interests of transnational monopolies, and they will not alter the conviction of militants in the necessity of continuing to defend the interests of the poor and marginalized and confronting all forms of external domination.

The targeting of Lebanese security institutions at this particular moment further confirms the existence of clear efforts to reshape state institutions according to the standards of international tutelage and to push them into the system of political obedience desired by the Western powers. However, the will for popular and national liberation remains stronger than all instruments of blackmail and economic and political punishment.

Glory to the martyrs
