Jaldia Abubakra, a member of the Executive Committee of the Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, stated that “the Israeli occupation army continues to promote lies about the opening of crossings and the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, in a blatant attempt to mislead global public opinion and cover up its ongoing genocide.”
Abubakra affirmed: “The reality on the ground exposes the occupation’s narratives as false. UN and field reports confirm that the vast majority of Gaza’s population is suffering from systemic and imposed starvation, and that the aid that does enter is scarce and limited, subjected to political and security blackmail, and does not meet the bare minimum of the besieged population’s needs.”
She further emphasized: “In light of this media blackout and deliberate deception, we renew our call for the immediate and unconditional entry of international journalists and independent media outlets into all areas of the Gaza Strip, to report the truth from the field and expose the horrors of the genocide being committed by the occupation.”
She added: “The prevention of journalists from entering Gaza is proof of the occupation army’s lies and constitutes part of the blatant war crimes and crimes against humanity targeting the Palestinian people. It aims to conceal evidence and suppress truthful testimony, and it confirms what ‘Israel’ is hiding in terms of genocide and war crimes. The media’s silence is direct complicity in these crimes, and we call on the Arab Republic of Egypt, all international press organizations, and human rights institutions to act immediately and apply pressure to open the way for free and independent media coverage.”
Abubakra concluded by saying: “We affirm that it is the duty of free peoples to demand the entry of aid and to expose the colonial policies of the occupation, which uses food and medicine as weapons of war, treating more than two million Palestinians as collective hostages in an open-air prison where all forms of slow death and deprivation are practiced.” She stressed that “the Palestinian people are documenting all these crimes and will not allow the falsification of facts, nor will they accept the double siege: the siege of weapons and the siege of truth.”
