In conjunction with the call for mass demonstrations around the world
A call to the Muslims of the world: Take action on Al-Aqsa Friday, 22 August 2025
The Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement calls upon the Muslims of the world to take to the streets this coming Friday, August 22, to defend Al-Aqsa Mosque, the land and people of Palestine, Gaza confronting genocide, and our prisoners in the Zionist dungeons. This Friday coincides with the 56th anniversary of the crime of burning Al-Aqsa Mosque on August 21, 1969, which makes it particularly important to strengthen global, Arab and Islamic popular mobilization in confronting the crimes of the Zionist occupation and its international sponsors.
We urge the masses of the Egyptian people, as well as the mosques of Egypt, their imams and preachers, to make the upcoming Friday sermon and prayer a day of popular rage, rejecting the genocidal war in Gaza and the ongoing Zionist aggression against the Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem.
We make this call today amid repeated Zionist invasions in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, within the framework of the colonial scheme aimed at dividing it temporally and spatially in preparation for its destruction and the construction of the so-called “temple” on its ruins. The attacks on Al-Aqsa are a blatant declaration of war against the entire nation. We note that they are escalating today amid war criminal Netanyahu’s open demand for a “greater Israel” and the ongoing Zionist-U.S. genocide in Gaza.
A demonstration must emerge from every mosque throughout the Arab and Islamic region and across all continents after Friday prayers this Friday, August 22, so that the voice of our great nation will be united against the Zionist occupation and its allies, and to affirm that Al-Aqsa, and Palestine as a whole, is the cause of the entire nation and not merely an internal Palestinian matter.
We are certain that the Egyptian people and the masses of the Arab and Islamic nation are capable of breaking the chains, confronting normalization and official betrayal, and achieving victory for the holy sites and Jerusalem, on the road to the liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea.
