The Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement,  called upon the masses of the Palestinian people and all the active forces in the Arab homeland and the world to participate in the broadest possible popular, media, and mass solidarity mobilization with the Global Sumud Flotilla, which has set sail toward the Gaza Strip in an attempt to break the ongoing U.S.-Israeli siege on the Strip that has lasted for more than eighteen years.

Bissan Barghouti, coordinator of Nidal Seattle and member of the Movement’s Executive Committee, noted that “the flotilla includes supporters and activists from more than 44 countries across the continents, among them trade unionists, parliamentarians, lawyers, doctors, human rights figures, and representatives of global liberation movements, in a step that confirms that the cause of Palestine remains alive in the conscience of the peoples of the world.”

Barghouti affirmed that this flotilla constitutes “a Palestinian and international outcry in the face of the Zionist occupation and all the forces complicit with it, and reflects the growing state of global popular anger against the policies of siege, starvation, and genocide practiced by the enemy with the full support of the United States and its partners in the region.”

She extended a special salute to “comrade Jaldia Abubakra, member of the Movement’s Executive Committee, and all of her comrades participating in the flotilla,” stressing that their participation “represents a national and international duty in strengthening effective solidarity and conveying the voice of our people and the Palestinian resistance to the world.”

Barghouti stressed that “international solidarity is not a choice but a duty,” calling on popular, trade union, student, and media forces throughout the Arab homeland and the world to “organize protest vigils, media campaigns, and field actions synchronized with the journey of the flotilla, and in order to protect the supporters and expose the crimes of the occupation.”

She also warned against any Zionist-U.S. attempts to target or obstruct the flotilla, affirming that “any attack on the ships of the supporters is a direct aggression against all the peoples of the world,” and held the international community and global organizations responsible for providing legal and political protection to the participants in the journey.

She concluded by affirming that “Gaza will not bow down, that the resistance in all its forms will triumph, and that the Global Sumud Flotilla is a new step toward stopping genocide and aggression and breaking the siege,” calling on all free people to “make the voyage of the flotilla global days of solidarity with our people in the Gaza Strip and all of occupied Palestine.”
