The Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, organized an international political seminar on Saturday, January 31, 2026, hosting Sayyed Ammar Moussawi, head of Arab and International Relations in Hezbollah, who presented a comprehensive analysis of the rapidly unfolding developments in Lebanon, Palestine, and the region, as well as the challenges facing the peoples of the Global South and humanity as a whole, in light of the growing predation of the United States and major corporations plundering the wealth and resources of peoples.

The seminar, broadcast live with simultaneous interpretation into Spanish and English, saw broad participation from liberation movements, political forces and parties, solidarity movements with the Palestinian people, as well as workers’, student, youth, and women’s groups, in addition to a number of writers and media professionals from different continents.

Moussawi responded to participants’ questions regarding the positions of Hezbollah on a range of issues in Lebanon and the region, particularly those related to the Palestinian cause, the role of Hezbollah at the current stage, confronting a potential U.S.–Israeli war against the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as positions on European Union policies and the “Trumpian condition” that reflects the brutality of the U.S. system and its attempts to entrench U.S. leadership of the world and tighten its grip and control over the region and energy sources through wars and threats.

The seminar also highlighted the international campaign to free the Lebanese prisoners, during which Charlotte Kates, International Coordinator of the Samidoun Network, delivered a focused presentation on the issue of Lebanese prisoners in Zionist occupation prisons, affirming the centrality of this issue in the struggle for liberation and in confronting the policies of the occupation and the Zionist prison authorities.

Palestinian journalist and writer Ahmad Al-Sabbahi also delivered a political intervention addressing messages to solidarity movements and forces of liberation worldwide, calling for the launch of an organized, comprehensive stance of refusal against the aggression on Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, and the peoples of the region, and affirming the interconnection of the arenas of confrontation in the face of the imperialist–Zionist project. Al-Sabbahi stressed the necessity for solidarity forces with the Palestinian people to stand alongside the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hezbollah, and the Palestinian resistance, emphasizing that Palestine is the central cause, and that the resistance and Iran represent the vanguard of forces defending the causes of liberation and independence throughout the region.

Participants in the seminar expressed their full solidarity and support for the Lebanese and Palestinian peoples, especially in confronting the war of genocide and the ongoing crimes of the Zionist occupation in the Gaza Strip. They also renewed their support for the resistance movements in the region, considering them the true expression of the peoples’ aspirations for independence, liberation, and the breaking of colonial hegemony.

In concluding the seminar, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement affirmed that it will continue organizing a series of political and intellectual seminars during the months of February and March, addressing developments in the region and the history and struggle of its peoples in confronting colonialism and Zionism, within the framework of “building and strengthening the role of the international popular cradle of the resistance.”
