Against the Continued Detention of Mohammed Khatib
The Masar Badil Calls for Protests in Front of Greek Embassies Worldwide
The Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, calls upon Palestinian, Arab, and Islamic communities, supporters of the Palestinian people and all forces of liberation, to participate widely in protests in front of Greek embassies, in protest against the continued detention of Mohammed Khatib, a leading member of the Masar Badil and the European coordinator of the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network.
Greek authorities continue to hold Khatib without any legal justification in a detention center on the island of Crete, demanding his immediate release and an end to what it described as arbitrary detention, and stressing that his arrest came as a result of submission to Zionist and U.S. pressure.
We call for broad participation in the popular demonstration scheduled to take place in front of the Greek Embassy in Brussels on Wednesday, 11 February, which was called for by the Samidoun Network alongside a number of revolutionary and solidarity organizations and movements in Belgium.
European authorities in Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Britain have become tools in the hands of the Zionist project, detaining dozens of male and female activists in their prisons, and we urge the broadest possible mobilization in support of all detainees held in U.S. and European prisons, considering them an inseparable part of the Palestinian prisoners’ movement in the prisons of the occupation.
