Amid Zionist genocide and war crimes in Gaza and throughout occupied Palestine, the “Israeli” regime is publicly allying itself with Nazis and fascists, making clear the nature of the “state” and the Zionist movement. This public and visible alliance is leading to even more cracks inside the Zionist project, as leading Zionist organizations and figures pull out of a conference being hosted this week in occupied Palestine by the so-called “Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Confronting Antisemitism.”
Khaled Barakat, Palestinian writer and member of the Executive Committee of the Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, said “Today, Zionists and Nazis are fully visible in bed together at this so-called conference on ‘fighting antisemitism,’ which is really a conference for the promotion of genocide and racism in Palestine and around the world.”
“Of course, the relationship between Zionists and Nazis is nothing new and dates back to the 1930s, which has been well-documented as a historical fact, and comes as no surprise to Palestinians,” Barakat said. “This is being reflected openly once again, after decades of attempting to obscure this reality, in the overt alliance between the Zionist forces and the most extremely fascist and extreme right forces in Europe and North America.”
“Today, the rise of fascism in Europe and ‘Israel’ is accompanied by the full support of US president Trump and his chief corporate henchman Elon Musk, including the explicit targeting of Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims for imprisonment, deportation and other forms of repression, and it should be alarming to every person of conscience in the world,” Barakat said.
The conference, scheduled for March 26 and 27 in occupied Palestine, is hosted by the “Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Confronting Antisemitism,” and features a range of representatives of European fascist parties, many known for lengthy histories of anti-Jewish hatred and bigotry — as well as their support for the fascist Zionist regime in Tel Aviv. The resulting controversy has seen even extreme Zionists like Jonathan Greenblatt, the president of the ADL, as well as European officials and public figures in Britain, France, Germany and elsewhere, like Volcker Beck, Bernard-Henri Levy and Felix Klein — who continue to oversee and call for some of the most severe anti-Palestinian repression and racism in Europe — pull out of the conference, even as they promote genocide, defend war criminals, and practice fascist and Zionist policies in their countries and call for their expansion.
“This reflects the ongoing crisis of the Zionist project, where the only point of agreement is in the genocide of Palestinians and the theft of Palestinian land,” Barakat said. “Let us be clear: In our liberated Palestine, from the river to the sea, Nazis, fascists and Zionists will be completely unwelcome. They will never enter our land.”
Barakat said, “Even hardcore Zionists are uncomfortable with this visible alliance in the colony — even if it is only for the ‘bad optics’ it represents. This conference of war criminals, killers, and fascists only underlines the enemy camp that our people in Palestine — and in Yemen, in Lebanon, and everwhere in our region — are facing on a daily basis. These are the forces that are waging war against immigrants and refugees in the US and in Europe, oppressing the student movement and attempting to impose a regime of state terror against every voice speaking out for justice and liberation. It is time to confront these forces everywhere they are and escalate our collective international movement against fascism, Zionism, imperialism and genocide.”
“The Zionist regime in Palestine is the most corrupt and racist system. It has reached the peak of brutality and is now collapsing due to its rotten interior, eating itself from within. However, this situation makes it a very dangerous time for people around the world, not only in Palestine. This is the time to unite and bring this system down, by all means necessary.”
