In a new episode of the international program “Behind the Causes” on HispanTV, Palestinian activist Jaldia Abubakra and Argentine analyst Lisandro Brusco, both cadres of the Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, appeared in an interview in which they confronted Arab and international complicity in the genocide being committed by the Zionist occupation in Gaza, emphasizing the need for a real popular, organized, and radical response.

No Hajj as Normal While Gaza Bleeds

Jaldia Abubakra, a Palestinian activist residing in Spain and a member of the Executive Committee of the Masar Badil, directed sharp criticism at those who continue to perform Hajj as if nothing is happening, at a time when Muslims are being slaughtered en masse and the genocide against the people of Gaza is being broadcast live around the world.

“Before performing our religious rituals, Islam imposes upon us the duty to defend justice. And I, as a Muslim woman, say: It is not permissible to perform Hajj while the criminals slaughtering the people of Gaza are being funded and protected by the regimes overseeing it.”

She called for a boycott of the Hajj organized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, considering it a source of funding for a regime complicit with Zionism, benefiting from the millions of Muslim pilgrims.

She added that the Palestinian people “have paid a heavy price for the dignity of the Ummah and of humanity as a whole,” affirming that: “The Arab regimes are partners in the crime, but the peoples also bear responsibilities. The sacrifices the Palestinians are offering today must compel every Muslim and every free person to act — not to hide behind fear or silence.”

Brusco: “The Zionist Entity Will Not Fall on Its Own… Organization is the Solution”

From Argentina, Lisandro Brusco, a human rights defender and activist in the Masar Badil, affirmed that salvation will not come from governments or international institutions, but from organized peoples.

“Neither the United Nations nor any official system will end these massacres. They are tools in the service of imperialism. Only organized and revolutionary peoples are capable of ending the occupation,” he said.

He cited the words of Cuban leader Fidel Castro: “When Christians in Latin America take their faith seriously, revolution becomes inevitable. And likewise for Muslims: if they commit to their true religion, then a global revolution is inevitable.”

“Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque are not just symbols — they are trenches of steadfastness that must be defended through awareness, action, and organization, not only through prayer and supplication alone,” he said.

Unity and Organization from the Grassroots

Both Abubakra and Brusco agreed that change will not come from the top, but from the grassroots, from the streets, and from popular unity confronting imperialist domination and client regimes.

Abubakra condemned the sectarian discourse promoted by authoritarian regimes to divide the Ummah, saying: “They seek to divide us between Sunni and Shi’a to weaken us. But we are all Muslims, and we are all human. True Islam can never be a partner in genocide.”

For his part, Brusco concluded his remarks with a clear warning: “The Israeli entity will not disappear on its own. There must be organized resistance that seeks to bring down Zionism, end American imperialism, and global capitalism. That may not happen soon, but victory is inevitable if we continue the struggle.”

Context: Iran’s Call and the Silence of the West

These statements come in the context of a call made by the Supreme Leader of Iran during the 2025 Hajj season, in which he called on Islamic governments to halt all forms of financial and logistical support to the Zionist entity.

In contrast, thousands of displaced Palestinians headed to Mecca, carrying with them the prayers of the wounded and of resistance, while the United States continued to obstruct any UN resolution allowing for the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

As for Spain, it was forced under public pressure to cancel an arms deal with the occupation, after press leaks confirmed the continuation of military cooperation despite anti-aggression statements.

Masar Badil: The Resistance Continues

In the Masar Badil movement, we continue our struggle to build a resistant, popular, revolutionary, and liberationist path, confronting imperialism, Zionism, and capitalism.

The voice of Jaldia, the voice of Lisandro, and the voice of the free peoples is a renewed call: Organization, taking to the streets, and direct action are our legitimate weapons.
