On the 56th Anniversary of the Burning of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Masar Badil: August 21 and 22… Two Days of Rage Against Genocide, in Support of Jerusalem and the Prisoners

On the fifty-sixth anniversary of the crime of burning the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, Thursday, August 21, 1969, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement calls on its supporters around the world, the masses of the Arab and Islamic nations, and all forces allied with the Palestinian people, to take immediate and urgent popular action in every arena and public square. Let Thursday and Friday, August 21 and 22, 2025, become two days of popular rage confronting the ongoing war of extermination against our people in the Gaza Strip for more than 22 months, rising up in support of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and in solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners’ movement and the steadfast resistance of our people.

What we are witnessing today — the repeated assaults on Islamic and Christian holy sites, the ongoing invasions of the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the attacks on the dignity of male and female prisoners in the occupation’s jails, and the statements issued by enemy leaders about a so-called “Greater Israel” — provokes the sentiments of more than two billion Muslims around the world, and constitutes a direct challenge to the will, dignity, and sanctities of the nation.

The Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement calls upon all forces of resistance — Islamic forces in particular, and the forces of resistance of all political and intellectual currents in general — to declare days of rage and take urgent action, including at the military, political, media, and cultural levels, for the sake of Al-Aqsa and the holy sites, and to confront the ongoing Zionist aggression against our people, our land, and our identity. We also call for broad participation in the Global Strike on Thursday, August 21, 2025.

The burning of Al-Aqsa was a Zionist crime that targeted the heart of the nation, its dignity, and its sanctities. What is happening today in Gaza and Jerusalem is a continuation of that crime, in an even more brutal and terroristic form. It is the duty of every Arab and Muslim, and of all who believe in freedom and justice, to be present in the fields of resistance, boycott, and protest, and to raise their voices loudly against the occupation and its backers — until this usurping entity is removed from our land and our holy places.

Glory to the martyrs of Palestine and the nation,

Freedom for Al-Aqsa and the prisoners,
Victory to the Palestinian resistance.
