The Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, condemns in the strongest terms the announced gas deal between the Egyptian regime and the Zionist entity. This deal is a full-fledged political, economic, and moral crime. It represents a blatant sale of the blood of Palestinians and Egyptians alike, a stab in the back of the nation, and direct participation in the plunder of Palestinian resources under occupation.
The gas stolen from our fields is an inseparable part of the Palestinian national wealth. It was seized by Zionist gangs through military force and transformed into a source of funding for the ongoing American–Zionist aggression against our people, and for the machinery of killing and siege that has, for more than seven decades, persisted in committing massacres against our people.
This deal does not constitute “regional cooperation,” as it is being promoted, but rather a new link in the chain of economic normalization aimed at legitimizing the plunder of Palestinian resources, rescuing the occupation’s economy and financing its war, and binding the Egyptian economy to the Zionist energy infrastructure, at the expense of national sovereignty and dignity.
The movement also affirms that the Egyptian people, who have made immense sacrifices throughout their history in confronting the Zionist project, are not partners in this crime but among its victims. Such deals are used to perpetuate policies of impoverishment, lift subsidies, and shackle the Egyptian national will with the chains of dependency, debt, and political blackmail.
We, in the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, affirm that:
- Any deal with the Zionist enemy is political treason;
- Every dollar that enters the occupation’s treasury is a new bullet in the chest of a Palestinian child; and
- Any economic recognition of the entity is a stab in the back of the struggle of the peoples of the nation.
We call upon the living forces in Egypt, Palestine, the Arab nation, and all free people of the world to reject this deal, expose it, and resist it politically and popularly, and to work to bring down the normalization system in all its forms, as it is the other face of the war on our peoples.
The wealth of Palestine belongs to its people. The rights of peoples are not sold in gas markets, and liberation does not pass through the pipelines of normalization.
