Mohammed Khatib, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement (Masar Badil), affirmed that the Palestinian resistance stands clearly and unequivocally alongside the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its people in confronting ongoing U.S. aggression, policies of siege and sanctions, and attempts at imperialist subjugation and blackmail. He stressed that the battle Venezuela is waging today is not an isolated one, but rather an integral part of the struggle of the world’s peoples against hegemony, colonialism, and violations of national sovereignty.

Khatib emphasized, following a political meeting with a representative of the Venezuelan Embassy in the Greek capital Athens, that the positions issued by the Ramallah Authority and the so-called “Palestinian leadership,” which align themselves with U.S. policies or remain silent in the face of imperialist aggression against Venezuela, in no way express the will of the Palestinian people or their history of struggle. He affirmed that this dependent authority has fallen outside the national consensus and has never been part of the camp of liberation and resistance. Rather, through its political trajectory, it has constituted a burden on the Palestinian cause and an instrument for suppressing the resistance.

He explained that reliance on security coordination with the occupation, taking refuge in what is termed “international legitimacy,” and polishing the positions of regimes that normalize relations with the Zionist enemy do not grant any genuine political representation nor provide protection for Palestinian national rights. On the contrary, they deepen the rupture between this “Authority” and the people and confirm its complete separation from their struggle-based choices and the path of their historical resistance.

He added that the Palestinian people stand firmly alongside the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian people, and stand in a single trench with Yemen, Venezuela, and all of the peoples and forces confronting imperialism and defending their sovereignty and their right to self-determination. He stressed that Palestine, as a national liberation cause, can only be part of a global front resisting imperialism, Zionism, and reactionary forces.

Al-Khatib affirmed that the Palestinian popular compass is clear: with the resistance in all its forms; against U.S. imperialism, the Zionist project, and their allies; and in favor of comprehensive boycott and the rejection of normalization in all its political, economic, and cultural forms.

He concluded by affirming that the true and sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people is not the official, subordinate “Palestinian Authority” and its domination of the PLO, but rather the Palestinian armed resistance and the steadfast prisoners’ movement inside the occupation’s prisons, as they constitute the living expression of the people’s will and their commitment to liberation, return, and self-determination.
